Rapper Jeezy is not having it anymore with his marriage and has initiated a process to have it terminated, according to multiple sources online.
According to court documents obtained by HipHopDX, Jay Jenkins, known professionally as Jeezy, filed a petition for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia on September 14th. The filing cited an irretrievable breakdown of the marriage and referenced the couple’s child, born in 2021.
Jeezy also requested that the court uphold the terms of the prenuptial agreement he and his wife, Jeannie Mai, signed prior to their marriage. The agreement, which addresses all financial matters related to the divorce, was signed by both parties on March 26, 2021.
The divorce is listed as contested, indicating that Mai is disputing the proceedings. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for October 19th at 11:00 a.m. local time. Please refer to the attached filing for further details.
