‘Jon Boy’- Mr Drew Slams Kuame Eugene Over ‘Sending A Lawyer After Him’ Comment
Mr. Drew has referred to Kuame Eugene as a jon boy, a derogatory term meaning ‘fool’ after Kuame Eugene claimed that he resorted to legal action to pressure Mr. Drew into giving him his rightful 50% copyright for the song ‘Case’ that he had written for him.
During an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3, Kuame Eugene stated that despite seeing Mr. Drew as an older brother figure, he held the advantage in the industry as he had been active before Mr. Drew’s arrival. Consequently, he felt justified in using his position to bully Mr. Drew when all other attempts to resolve the matter had failed.
In response to a question about why he retained attorneys for Mr. Drew’s case rather than Keche’s, he said, “Because I came before him and I can bully him for my share.
With all that happened, he still called me and said we should forget whatever happened and that I should send him my details so send me my shares,” he added. In a cryptic message purportedly at the Rockstar, Mr Drew described Kuami as a ‘liar.’
According to him, there is nothing special about being younger than someone else. He wrote, “Aside from the fact that he’s a liar, who made him think being younger than someone is a flex? Jon boy.”
