Kuame Eugene Reveals Songs He Wrote For Mzvee That Boosted Her Career

Kuame Eugene recently discussed his songwriting contributions to former labelmate Mzvee in a new interview with YouTuber Mc. Portfolio.

The multiple award-winning Ghanaian artiste revealed that he penned hits like Come and See My Mother, Daavi, and Rewind for Mzvee, a disclosure that has augmented entertainment in Ghana.

He emphasized that while it wasn’t a requirement in their contracts at Lynx Entertainment, the supportive atmosphere among label mates encouraged them to help each other out in their music endeavours.

I wrote a couple of songs for Mzvee but not all her songs. “Richie and I wrote Come and See My Mother, but with Daavi and Rewind I wrote it myself. What it is that we are label mates. We have some massive love for each other. And there is work that went on in the label that you saw the outcome.

Beyond that, Kuame Eugene addressed allegations of feeling betrayed by Mzvee’s departure from Lynx Entertainment.

He clarified that her exit was unexpected but no discord between them led to her departure. Therefore, he emphasized that there was no betrayal on her part, contrary to previous speculations.

“I didn’t say she betrayed me in any way but then again. I have never opened my mouth to say she has betrayed me, You understand? I even said that I owed her. I should say “Thank you” in a way to her because Richie used the level she was at at that time to lift both of us; myself and Kidi. So we have some “Thank you” to say to Mzvee”, the musician said.
