Kareem Adeyemi Says The Source Of His Speed In Dortmund’s Game Against Chelsea Is Fufu

Karim-David Adeyemi, a German professional footballer who plays as a forward for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and Germany, has paid homage to his Nigerian root by revealing the source of his incredible performance in their Champions League against Chelsea on Wednesday.

After scoring the game-winning goal against Chelsea for his team, the youngster revealed that he eats a lot of fufu- a delicacy with is popular with Nigerians and Ghanaians

Adeyemi provided the game’s standout moment, running speedily past Enzo Fernández in a lightning-fast Dortmund counterattack before rounding Kepa to make it 1-0. He went ahead to win the man of the match of the game.

Right after the match, he attributed his performance to his diet by saying he eats more food from Nigeria especially fufu which enhances his performance. He said;

“I eat a lot of African foods, but I have good genetics from my dad. “[The food] is called fufu from Nigeria.

The only thing I was thinking [against Enzo Fernandez] was that I just needed to get the ball past him. You just try to win your duels; the goalkeeper came out, and there may have been a bit of luck, but I’m delighted with the goal.

It’s a case of new year, new luck. For me, it’s that simple. As a team, we talked a lot during the break, and it brought us closer together.

The win tonight was crucial, and it was unbelievable to play in front of these fans.” “We wanted to give Chelsea a tough game from start to finish, and we’ve won.”
