Borussia Dortmund revealed on Wednesday that an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid to sign Jude Bellingham for an initial sum of €103 million.
On Wednesday, sources told ESPN that the sale was agreed to for roughly €100 million plus an additional €20 million in add-ons. Dortmund acknowledged that the remaining payment would be 30% of the initial cost. Madrid took the final step to sign the England international during the summer transfer window after receiving the go-ahead from the 19-year-old a few weeks earlier.

He will bolster Madrid’s midfield along with youthful players Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni, who were both signed in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Bellingham has been up for grabs, and Liverpool and City were both considered favorites at various points over the past season before Real Madrid took the lead.

He made 31 league appearances this season, scored eight goals, and even served as the team’s captain as he established himself as one of the top players in the Bundesliga after just three years in the country. According to the VDV’s announcement on Wednesday, Bellingham garnered 29.6% of the votes. Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt was second (28.6%) and Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich was third (13.7%).
