Kevin Hart, Cate Blanchett, Others Star In Film Adaptation Of Video Game, ‘Borderlands’
Comedian Kevin Hart and Academy Award-winning actress Cate Blanchett, among others, star in the upcoming film adaptation of the popular video game ‘Borderlands,’ from Lionsgate.
The film, which is based on the popular first-person shooter game of the same name, was directed by Eli Roth and produced by Avi Arad, who is known for his work on the ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘X-Men’ franchises.
Hart will play the role of Roland, a skilled ex-soldier and one of the playable characters in the game, while Blanchett will portray Lilith, a powerful siren with the ability to manipulate energy.
The film also stars Ariana Greenblatt, Haley Bennett, Jack Black, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Gina Gershon.
‘Borderlands’ is in post-production and is expected to be released on August 9, 2024.
