Kuame Eugene Speaks On Mzvee’s ‘Betrayal’ Following Her Departure From Lynx

Kuame Eugene has addressed allegations of feeling betrayed by Mzvee’s departure from Lynx Entertainment.

In an interview with YouTuber and content creator Mc. Portfolio, he clarified that her exit was unexpected but no discord between them led to her departure. Therefore, he emphasized that there was no betrayal on her part, contrary to previous speculations.

“I didn’t say she betrayed me in any way but then again. I have never opened my mouth to say she has betrayed me, You understand? I even said that I owed her. I should say “Thank you” in a way to her because Richie used the level she was at at that time to lift both of us; myself and Kidi. So we have some “Thank you” to say to Mzvee”, the musician said.

Kuame Eugene, known as The Rockstar, affectionately refers to himself as such. He recently disclosed that during their time together at Lynx, he wrote several songs for Mzvee, whom he considers as family.

According to him, assisting other musicians in songwriting was not part of their contractual obligations at Lynx Entertainment, hence the camaraderie among label mates led them to support one another.

Over the years, he has penned numerous songs for Mzvee, including notable tracks like Daavi and Come and See My Father which garnered her recognition in the industry.

While “Come and See My Mother” was a collaborative effort with Lynx Entertainment boss, Richie Mensah, Kuame Euegune took sole responsibility for writing “Daavi” and many other songs.

I wrote a couple of songs for Mzvee but not all her songs. “Richie and I wrote Come and See My Mother, but with Daavi and Rewind I wrote it myself. What it is that we are label mates. We have some massive love for each other. And there is work that went on in the label that you saw the outcome.
