Leaked Tape: IGP Appears Before Committee Today

Today, Tuesday, September 12, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, is scheduled to appear before the committee investigating a leaked plot to remove him.

The committee’s Chairman, Samuel Atta-Akyea, has extended an invitation to the IGP to provide an opportunity for him to present his side of the story in response to serious allegations that have been made against him.

Dr. Dampare is expected to attend the hearing with his legal representative. Additionally, the other individuals involved in the investigation, Chief Daniel Bugri Naabu, Supt. George L. Asare, (COP) George Alex Mensah, and Supt. Emmanuel Eric Gyebi will also be accompanied by their legal representatives.

The Chairman has emphasized that the hearing will be conducted in camera to prevent sensitive information from being disclosed to the public and to safeguard national security. He expressed confidence that the IGP will accept the invitation extended to him by the Committee.

In other related news, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has made some shocking revelations about the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare.

According to him, Dampare has a ‘mafia’ within the police force that kills people secretly. He categorically stated that these syndicates were the ones who terrorized him recently when he had a brush with the law.

In his sermon delivered to his congregation on Sunday, September 10, 2023, Rev. Owusu Bempah claimed that the IGP was in charge of an infamous police squad that had mistreated him when he was in their custody.

“I have heard that the IGP has a group in the police service, and all they do is kill people. This group of policemen were the same people who came for me.

Additionally, the controversial Pro-NPP cleric also said these tendencies will drag the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) into opposition.

He further said that Dr. Dampare despises him because, when the NPP leadership approached him to ask him to pray for the candidates for the job, he suggested another candidate instead. The prophet claimed that he endured hardship in order to prevent the current administration from being taken for granted.
