French and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe has issued an important message to his club PSG which has obviously not gone down well with the playing body and the fans at large.
According to rumors, Kylian Mbappe has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he will not, under any circumstances, be leaving this summer. The Ligue 1 winners and the France captain are still at odds over his refusal to sign a contract extension. After initially assigning him to play for the squad’s “B team” and denying him a spot on PSG’s preseason tour of Asia, the club started tearing down a big billboard of the star at the Parc des Princes stadium on Tuesday.
As the Parisian hierarchy tries to pressure the 24-year-old to accept a permanent deal or loan move that would allow the club to recoup some of their £250 million investment, Mbappe’s shirt has also been taken out of the club store.
According to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old is expected to be frozen out by PSG and won’t be able to play again until the end of his contract in 2024, at which point he is rumored to be interested in signing as a free agent with Real Madrid.
Prior to their preseason tour to Japan, Paris Saint-Germain dropped Mbappe and put him up for sale, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano. On Friday, July 21, he said on Twitter that the Ligue 1 winners had decided to part ways with their French skipper.
“Kylian Mbappé has been left out of the Paris Saint-Germain squad for the pre-season tour in Japan. Decision made by PSG tonight. Understand PSG consider Mbappé FOR SALE starting from today.
“Paris Saint-Germain feel Kylian Mbappé wants to leave for free in 2024 — he did not communicate anything yet despite Al Khelaifi’s public statement. PSG decided to EXCLUDE Kylian from Japan tournée,” Romano tweeted.
We previously reported that Kylian Mbappe was strongly linked to a sensational move to Real Madrid but a new development reveals French President Emmanuel Macron is launching a bid to stop him from leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
In an effort to retain the France international in the nation, Macron has stated that he is prepared to get involved in the Mbappe drama once more.
Mbappe has informed PSG that he has no plans to extend his agreement with the team, but has denied reports connecting him to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid are reportedly willing to spend €200 million (£170 million or $216 million) to sign him this summer.
President Macron was asked about Mbappe’s situation by RMC Sport and replied: “I don’t have the scoop, but I will try and push for it.” In a similar circumstance a year prior, Macron spoke to Mbappe and helped persuade him to remain in the French capital despite strong interest from Real.
