Medikal Makes History As He Sells Out 02 Indigo Concert In London

On May 3, 2024, Medikal achieved a remarkable feat by selling out the 02 Indigo Arena in London.

This extraordinary concert showcased an impressive lineup of Ghanaian stars, such as Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Efya, Bisa KDei, Jay Bhad, Sister Derby, and many more.

Captivating videos shared on Twitter, now X, revealed that every nook and cranny of the arena was packed with enthusiastic fans.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Medikal and the guest artists delivered unforgettable performances throughout the evening.

The feedback on social media regarding Medikal’s Planning and Plotting concert has been overwhelmingly positive. Ghanaians have praised both him and the other performers for their contributions to the event’s success. This has significantly boosted Ghana’s entertainment sector.

Indigo at The O2 is a live music club with a capacity of 2,750, catering to smaller music events, club events, and after-shows, as well as corporate and private events. The venue features four bars, including two on the main ground floor area, one in the VIP lounge known as the Purple Lounge, and one in the stalls called Bleachers.

While the Purple Lounge does not offer a direct view of the stage, guests have access to the premium “Kings Row” seating within the venue.

Managed by Ansco Music Club Limited, which is the business name of the Indigo division of AEG Live, the venue has hosted a variety of events over the years.

Notable events held at Indigo include “An Audience with Bill Clinton” in 2007, performances by comedians like Andy Parsons and Roy Chubby Brown, as well as shows by Classic FM in 2008. The venue was also used for ‘bootcamp’ sessions of The X Factor in 2008 and the debut of Power Snooker in 2010.

In 2012, Indigo hosted a performance by South Korean pop rock band CN Blue, and in 2020, it was the venue for the BDO World Darts Championship.
