Medikal Suggests He Lives A Fake Life On Social Media

Medikal, who is known in some circles as one of the richest Ghanaian artistes, recently suggested he is not as rich as he portrays himself on social media.

During a live Twitter Spaces with Cookie Tee, the rapper and songwriter clarified that the lavish lifestyle he portrays on social media is merely a marketing tactic to enhance his brand.

When questioned about the money, cars, and houses he showcases on his social media platforms, the “Too Risky” hitmaker explained that these are simply props and should not be taken at face value.

Drawing parallels to popular Hollywood movies, he emphasized that he has never claimed ownership of any items displayed on social media that he does not actually possess. He acknowledged that his fans are aware of this fact as well.

“It’s all props, it’s like the Rambo movie, you see him with guns, shooting and killing, but in real life, he’s in The Bahamas chilling, that’s how it is. So what you see on social media is an illusion. It’s just my brand. I don’t have anything. My fans know that whatever I don’t own, I won’t claim as my own. I’m not rich, I’m trying to survive, I’m a hustler just like everyone else,” he disclosed.

Medikal has established a prominent presence in the music industry through his diligent efforts and extensive collaborations with accomplished artists.

In addition to his 2017 nominations, he was bestowed with the esteemed accolade of Best Discovery Video at the MTN 4Syte Video Awards in 2016. Medikal is renowned for his rapid-fire rap technique and clever wordplay, frequently infusing his music with Pidgin English and Ghanaian colloquialisms.
