Meek Mill’s iPhone Thief Remanded

The 33-year-old scrap dealer has been remanded in police custody after allegedly stealing an iPhone 14 Pro Max belonging to Meek Mill during the Afronation concert last week.

Nuhu Sulley was charged with stealing when he appeared before an Accra Circuit Court but denied the charge.

On January 17, 2023, he is scheduled to reappear before the court presided over by Mr. Samuel Bright Acquah.

The judge denied Sulley’s defence counsel’s request for bail on the grounds that the case was still under investigation.

ASP Oppong concluded that the accused posed a flight risk and would not appear in court if granted bail, given the gravity of the offence.

The prosecution further submitted that the Police were taking Sulley through its systems to ascertain his fingerprints in relation to other cases under investigation.

The prosecution stated that Sulley’s arrest occurred on December 30, 2022.

It was also stated that during the investigation, the accused pleaded guilty.
