Notably, he was the only East African artiste to be selected for the Shuga II theme song, an MTV Africa drama series 2012 production. In addition to his artistic pursuits, he has worked as a part-time deejay in various clubs across the country. Bon Eye is also a sustainability champion and serves as the United States Green Building Council Centre for Green Schools spokesman for East Africa.
He is currently married to Wangechi. The couple tied the knot in a small, discreet ceremony in 2013, and in 2015 they welcomed their first child, a son named Kamau Chege. In 2018, P-Unit rapper Bon’Eye and his wife welcomed their second child in the United Kingdom, but the gender has not been made public.
