Meet Ghanaian Billionaire Who Wants To Acquire Spanish Club

Ghanaian billionaire, tycoon and Consul to Guinea-Bissau, Honourable Prince Tetteh, is in advanced talks to acquire a 60% controlling stake in Spanish third division side Ourense CF.

He is being assisted by a team of experts, including former Liverpool and Real Madrid player Antonio Nunez Tena, and the deal could provide a pathway for talented African footballers to enter European leagues.

If the agreement is finalized, Honourable Tetteh will have significant influence in shaping Ourense’s future. Club President Camilo Diaz has warmly welcomed Honourable Tetteh and presented him with prestigious club awards, while the Mayor of Ourense Gonzalo Pérez Jácome has praised the potential alliance.

Honourable Tetteh has also invited ex-Deportivo La Coruna President Augusto César Lendoiro to provide counsel on elevating Ourense.

About Ourense CF

Ourense CF is a Galician football club from the city of Ourense. It was founded in 1977 as Ponte Ourense Club de Fútbol, and changed its name in 2014, after the dissolution of CD Ourense, and currently plays in Segunda Federación – Group 1, holding home games at Estadio O Couto, which has a capacity of 5,659 spectators.

The club’s history has been marked by several name changes, with the current name being adopted in 2014. The 1993-94 season was undoubtedly the most successful in the club’s history, as it achieved its primary goal of promotion to the Tercera División, making it the only team in the province to reach this level.

Ourense’s latest achievement was securing promotion to Segunda División RFEF on May 21, 2022, after a convincing 4-0 victory over Llerenense in the promotion playoffs.
