Kenyan musician Kevin Wairegi, known professionally as Wyre, lost his father just before releasing his debut album in 2015.
He is a private person, so he decided to keep his family hidden from the public eye. Because he knows how much a great family values their privacy, he took steps to make sure that they had it. Wyre is concerned with them and their well-being.

Other than Wyre’s father’s death in 2015, we know very little about his family background. According to the dancehall musician, he lost his biggest fan when his dad passed away. “The last time I cried was when I lost my dad because he was my biggest fan,” Wyre said.

He considers his father to be one of the most important figures in the development of his musical style. “When I joined the music industry, he supported me fully, and he did his best to mentor us in the industry by taking us to concerts. He would encourage us even in the house because we would perform for him,” he said.
Wyre’s father continued to help him sell his albums to his friends even after he moved out to start his adult life.
