Mike Epps Under Investigation For Loaded Gun At Airport

A loaded gun was discovered in one of Mike Epps’ bags at the Indianapolis International Airport, prompting an investigation. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, police responded to a firearms investigation on Sunday after TSA discovered the firearm on Epps at the checkpoint.

Background

The comedian mentioned being in town for a performance but neglected to mention that the item was in his bag. Police discovered a 38-caliber special airweight with four rounds loaded but none in the chamber during their investigation. The weapon and ammunition were both seized as evidence.

The report was sent to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office to determine whether charges should be filed against Epps. If criminal charges are brought against him, he could be in serious legal trouble. The Indianapolis Airport police have confirmed that they are conducting a criminal investigation into Epps.

Possible consequences

This incident highlights the widespread problem of travelers carrying loaded firearms through security checkpoints. Over the past three years, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued more than $52 million in civil penalties to passengers caught with firearms at airport security checkpoints in the US.

It is illegal to bring firearms onto airplanes or into airports, and violators may face fines, imprisonment, and revocation of their firearm license. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has stringent regulations regarding firearms and other weapons in carry-on and checked baggage. Before boarding a flight, passengers are required to declare any firearms or ammunition in their possession.

Mike Epps has not commented on the incident as of yet.
