MP For Ekumfi, Hon Abeiku Crentsil, Provides Financial Support For 42 University Students

According to an official press release sent to Tru News Report, the Member of Parliament for Ekumfi, Hon. Abeiku Crentsil has distributed 206 containers filled with groceries to the best students from various schools in Ekumfi who excelled in the 2022 BECE on February 17, 2023, as part of the much-talked-about “I CARE4U PROJECT.”

The package also included one thousand Ghana cedis for university students from Ekumfi to assist with the costs associated with higher education.

The gesture was special and one of a kind from the MP, who belongs to the minority group in Parliament. Many people were very happy about the “ONE OF A KIND” gesture, which came at a time when the country’s economy is unstable and close to being supported by the IMF.

This is causing a lot of hardships and a very high cost of living. We set sail on the backs of deep rivers, each with a mission, hoping to reach the source in reality. Usually, poverty gets in the way of this journey, but the member of parliament for Ekumfi has stepped up to help and provide for bright young students in his area.

Nana Ansah Bambil VII, Nana Yamoah X, Nana Appah Korankye VII, and Nana Edumadze, all of Ekumfi traditional area, were present at this year’s ceremony, representing Odeefo Akyen VII, the paramount chief of Ekumfi.

Gomoa West MP Richard Gyan Mensah and district directors of education from Ekumfi, Mfantseman, Ajumako, and Gomoa West were also present.

The event also brought together party faithfuls, such as ward coordinators, constituency executives, and branch executives.

Speaking at the program, the Director of Education for Ekumfi expressed gratitude for the insight and assistance provided by the MP to parents and guardians who were unable to afford the free items distributed to them.

He praised the MP and hoped that he would continue to lead and help the smart students so that other people would be inspired to do the same.

Odeefo Akyen VII’s representative, Nana Ansah Bambil VII, thanked and praised the honourable Abeiku Crentsil for his kind act. He also said that the items he gave were not easy to get, and he asked God to help the representative do more next year.
