“My Ex-Girlfriend Left Me And Invited Me To Her Wedding After I Sponsored Her Education” – Ernest Opoku
Ghanaian gospel musician and performer Ernest Opoku has opened up about a heartbreak he endured from his ex-girlfriend, whose education he paid for, bought her expensive presents, and took care of her and her family, surprised him with an invitation to her wedding.
Ernest stated that in the early stages of his career, he fell in love with a church member and made arrangements to marry her. He claimed to have paid for her schooling, showered her with presents, and tended to her parents, all with an eye on proposing to her someday.
But his hopes crashed when his fiancée broke the news that she was engaged to another guy, despite all the money he had spent on her.
In an interview on the Okukuseku show on Adom TV, hosted by Emelia Brobbey, he said that the lady also handed him a wedding invitation.
Despite being hurt, he made the decision to go see for himself. He said he arrived at the venue in Ejisu, Ashanti Region, very early that fateful day in order to get a good spot from which to see the ceremony.
When Ernest saw his ex-girlfriend kissing her new husband, he said his heart sped up and tears started streaming down his cheeks. After further consideration, he concluded that his first investment was a mistake.
Ernest Opoku claimed that after experiencing his first heartbreak, he resolved to protect himself from making the same mistake twice.
