Nana Ama McBrown Explains Why She Decided To Leave Despite Media

The former host of UTV’s entertainment program “United Showbiz,” Nana Ama McBrown, has stated that she never signed a contract with the company.

Several former co-workers of Nana Ama’s have publicly labelled her as ungrateful on radio after she made the switch from Despite Media to Media General, which has put her in the centre of a controversy.

On 3FM’s “Sunrise with Johnnie Hughes,” Nana Ama McBrown explained her side of the story, saying that she had no regrets and is now feeling relieved and at home. She revealed the circumstances behind her absence from United Showbiz as well as the factors that impacted her choice to leave.

“I got this call in early February, but I ignored it. I was thinking about it and praying about it because I wanted to be sure, even though I didn’t have much to do besides my ambassadorial deals at the time. I didn’t intend on discussing this, but because of how the conversation is going, I have to.”

“I told my old employers that I wanted to hold on from December. I told them, “Let’s think of something different to do.” I thought they’d call and say, “Come over and let’s talk about what’s new.” And besides I don’t have a contract with anyone, so if no one cares, I have the right to leave… I’m not going to say much. “This is me, I pray about every step I take, I don’t just move,”

The actress, who has been working for a long time and wants to be remembered for how much she loves her job, said that she deserves her success because she has worked hard and made sacrifices for it.

“Whoever is saying what about me, I’ll leave that person to God because I know myself and I know I’ve worked my way through here. I didn’t come here just because of how pretty I am or maybe how nice my smile is. I’ve worked to make my smile impactful. “I’m here because I worked, oh Jonnie, I worked!” she said
