Nana Yaa Brefo Resigns From Angel FM

As per a report from MyNewsGh, Nana Yaa Brefo has resigned from Angel FM and has officially parted ways with the station. Her resignation will take effect on December 1, 2023.

On November 30, 2023, she submitted her resignation to the management and subsequently deactivated all her social media accounts related to the station, including WhatsApp.

Prior to joining Angel Broadcasting Network, Nana Yaa Brefo worked as a newscaster and co-host on Adom FM and TV, which were part of the Multimedia Group.

An investigation into Nana Yaa Brefo’s social media accounts revealed posts with subtle implications. In one of her posts, she emphasized that people thrive when they receive love in any setting they encounter.

Deborah Nana Yaa Brefo, originally from Takoradi in the Western Region, relocated to Accra at a later stage. During her childhood, Nana Yaa’s father made the decision to remove the name Deborah from her given name.

Nana Yaa has shared that she has two sisters and two brothers, making her the youngest among her siblings. In an interview with Kofi TV, she mentioned that she never used the name Deborah during her school years. Born on December 31, 1977, Nana Yaa will turn 43 in December. She pursued her tertiary education at the Ghana Institute of Journalism from 2000 to 2002.

Nana Yaa is currently married and her husband resides in Maryland, United States of America (USA). They have been blessed with a son. Prior to joining Multimedia Group Limited, Nana Yaa had previously worked at Peace FM, an Accra-based radio station.

With over two decades of experience in journalism, Nana Yaa is a well-known and outspoken television host at Multimedia. In December 2014, she was interviewed on Anapua’s Infotainment show, where she was asked about a statement she had made.
