Burna Boy is No More African Giant But African Ant – Influencer Shade Ladipo Bares Teeth

Shade Ladipo, a social media influencer and content creator has publicly disparaged Burna Boy on her Instagram story.

She criticized the Nigerian musician and referred to him as an African ant rather than an African Giant, as the musician prefers to be called, for not publicly encouraging and promoting voter participation.

“Your African ant is a clown. If you are a true pan-Africanist as you claim with your music then you must understand the importance of these elections.

Promoting voter participation doesn’t involve supporting any candidate. You are a clown and an opportunist who only uses Nigerian/African issues to promote your music. F**king fraud with fake dreads.”

She seemed very pissed at the artist and he has not made any response to these accusations.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy has explained to his followers why he went silent during the 2023 election.

In an Instagram post, he said that many people have taken offence at him not being as outspoken about the election as his other colleagues. He went on to say that he didn’t back any candidate or political party since he didn’t believe they’d keep their promises.

Burna Boy stated that he has no intention of publicly endorsing a political party in an effort to persuade voters and also the public would turn against him if the party won the election but did not fulfil their promises.

He wrote on his Instagram stories saying;

I don’t know why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections. Personally I don’t have a candidate that I believe in. I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life because I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person f**ks up as usual. That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins.
