Nigerian Singer Inkboy Chases Sarkodie For His Money

Nigerian musician Inkboy has accused Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie of attempting to deceive him regarding royalties.

Inkboy claims that his artistic contribution to the song One Million Cedis on Sarkodie’s ‘Jamz’ album has not been properly acknowledged.

He said since speaking out about this issue, Inkboy has faced bullying from Sarkodie’s fans.

He expressed his disappointment in Sarkodie, a highly respected artist, for stooping so low to deceive him. Inkboy took to a platform to express his frustration and dissatisfaction with the situation.

Expressing his disappointment, Inkboy addressed Sarkodie directly, stating,

“King @sarkodie what you are doing is not good at all. I place high regard on your name but it seems you prefer me calling you out and people saying I’m ungrateful. Pls give me my royalties for one million cedi it’s long overdue Haba you be legend o nawa.

I made this song and gave it the title one million cedi and all I get now is hate from @sarkodie fans cos I’m not allowed to call him out? As a bigger person is one year not enough time to do what is right? I won’t let this slide give me my royalties.”

On the flip side, Sarkodie was chosen to represent Ghana in the annual Hennessy Rap Cypher held in Nigeria a few days ago.

The event, which started in 2009, brings together top MCs from across Africa to display their musical skills and entertain fans worldwide with a variety of musical styles.

Recently, videos of Sarkodie and his team travelling from Ghana to Nigeria were shared on social media.

This year’s cypher included Sarkodie from Ghana, Kaligraph Jones from Kenya, Ladipoe from Nigeria, M.I from Nigeria, and other renowned rappers from the continent.
