Nigerians Only Blow After They Come To Ghana- Stay Jay Claims

The renowned songwriter stated that Nigeria heavily relies on Ghana for its music to gain global recognition. This controversially implies that Ghana is the gateway to music in Africa, rather than Nigeria.

During an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM in Cape Coast, Stay Jay revealed that Nigerian artistes often promote their music in Ghana before achieving global success.

He commended Ghanaian musicians for their impressive performances and urged them to maintain their momentum. Additionally, he suggested that Ghanaian artistes possess superior talent and should adopt strategic approaches to surpass Nigerian artists on the international stage.

“What I make of the music scene right now is that I can I see the industry growing and Ghanaian artistes are doing well so we should keep it up,

“Because I can see that we have a certain power in the music fraternity across Africa that’s why Nigerian artistes always come here to promote their songs before they blow,” he said during the interview.

“That means we’re the gateway to music in Africa and so we have to focus on what we have and support each other to push our music to the top.
