Sarkodie, King Promise, Black Sherif and other Ghanaian celebs, in a moving show of unity and support, have slammed the government for arresting #OccupyJulorbiHouse protestors who assembled outside the Jubilee House to air their complaints over the nation’s ongoing economic difficulties.
The Democracy Hub organized the non-violent demonstration with the goal of raising awareness of the economic woes that common Ghanaians must deal with.
However, the Ghana Police Service apprehended protestors and onlookers early on in the event and reportedly used excessive force to put an end to it.
To this end, some Ghanaians have contributed their voices to the cause and voiced their concerns about how nonviolent protesters are being treated in response to these occurrences.
