Philipa Baafi Shares How She Earned Her First Class Despite Being Over 40
Philipa Baafi has exemplified the timeless saying that education has no end. She recounted her journey to becoming a Physician Assistant, highlighting the challenges she faced after losing her parents following Senior High School.
The veteran gospel musician said undeterred by these obstacles, she persevered and pursued her dream of further education, enrolling in a Physician Assistant program even in her forties.
This decision came after establishing herself in her singing career, showcasing her unwavering commitment to personal growth and development.
Philipa noted that after she started making money from her career as a top musician, she went to pursue a medical course (Physician Assistant) at the tertiary level, adding that she graduated with first-class honours even though she is over 40 years old.
“I lost my parents while I was in primary school. My mother also died when I got to SHS. Even though I was a brilliant student, it was tough for me. Aside my calling to do music, I had the passion to become a medical professional.
“After completing high school, I stayed home for a while because things were tough for me after my parents died. Going back to school after age 40 was not easy. But by the grace of God, I completed tertiary successfully with first class honours,” she said in a video shared by Zionfelix on his Instagram page.
