Rapper Danzel Silos aka Bigidagoe Shot Dead In Amsterdam

Rapper Bigidagoe, whose real name is Danzel Silos was shot dead in Amsterdam on Sunday morning. The incident occurred near Sloterdijk station, where Silos, 26, was found critically injured on Rhoneweg. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he sadly succumbed to his injuries.

The police are currently investigating the shooting. As reported by Parool, Silos was attending the “One Night in Amsterdam” party at the Rhone Events Center when he was shot in the upper body while leaving the event. The police were alerted to the shooting at 5:25 a.m.

“I tried to do something for him, but his heartbeat was already very weak,” a man at the scene told the newspaper. “Nothing happened at the party, but the atmosphere outside was very tense. Everyone immediately knew that it was Bigidagoe who had been shot.”

According to Parool, social media videos depict a police officer attempting to revive Silos on the street, a brawl following the party, and security guards trying to restore order.

Additionally, there is footage showing blood stains on the street. Speculation on social media suggests that the shooting originated from a dispute between Zone 6 and another group at the party.

This is not the first time Silos has been targeted. He previously survived a shooting on Vechtstraat in the Rivierenbuurt in August 2020, and his mother’s residence was shot the following day. Silos is one of nine suspects involved in the kidnapping of a rival rapper, Kobus L., in Amsterdam Zuidoost in September 2022.

Danzel Silos aka Bigidagoe

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has sought a 4-year prison sentence for Silos for his role in the abduction, while his bandmate Joël H., also known as Joey AK, is the primary suspect in the case and faces a 7-year prison term as demanded by the OM.

The court is expected to deliver its verdict on March 8. Parool reports that Zone 6 members have been linked to various serious crimes over the years, with several key figures associated with drug trafficking and involvement in violent incidents.

Danzel Joel Silos, born in Amsterdam on June 10, 1997, began his rap career in 2014 with the release of the song ‘bottom’. His breakthrough came in 2018 during a 101Barz session with the rap group Zone6 (“Holendrecht”).

Bigidagoe, closely associated with fellow rapper JoeyAK, was considered his right-hand man. Unfortunately, on August 25, 2020, Bigidagoe was shot in Amsterdam’s Rivierenbuurt.

Despite this, he released the song ‘Opp Blazen’ on September 4, addressing the incident. Known for his involvement in crime, Bigidagoe’s criminal record dates back to a street robbery conviction at the age of 12.

In 2021, he engaged in a rap feud with Amsterdam rapper Chivv, resulting in both rappers being preventively arrested to de-escalate the situation.
