Rapper Magoo Dies At 50

According to reports, Magoo, who was one half of the duo Timbaland & Magoo, has passed away. He had just turned 50.

On Sunday, August 13, Digital Black of the band Playa was the first to pay respect to the late rapper on Instagram. “Man can’t believe this RIP Magoo damn big bro wasn’t ready for this at all #superfriends,” he wrote.

Other entertainers have hit social media to pay tribute to him and one of the emotional messages we sighted is coming from Ginuwine, who shared; “Times get rough but we keep on pushing just heard some news I hope it ain’t true …I just want everyone to know that time is short love who you love and make sure they know it,” he wrote on Sunday (August 13).

Timbaland & Magoo first got together while they were kids and planned to start a rap group in 1989. Although they are most recognized for their hit “Up Jumps Da Boogie,” the duo also published three albums, and Missy Elliott was possibly their most well-known collaboration.

No cause of death has been released for Magoo, and neither his family nor Timbaland have officially released a statement.
