Reactions As Cocobod Requests For Procurement Of GHC4,500 iPad Keyboards For Board Members

In light of the challenging economic conditions prevailing in the nation, marked by escalating prices of commodities and services, the disparity between the affluent and the underprivileged has widened significantly.

Consequently, Ghanaians have promptly reacted to a communication from Cocobod, urging the procurement of keyboards for the esteemed board members of Ghana’s Cocobod.

Cocobod’s leaked proforma invoice, dated February 26, 2024, and signed by Enoch Tettey Martey, requests the purchase of keyboards for 15 Board Members.

The attached letter states that the keyboards will improve productivity and facilitate the comfortable use of iPads during board meetings. Here’s what the letter states:

We write to seek approval for the purchase of fifteen (15) pieces of keyboards for our Board Members, each costing Four Thousand Five Hundred Cedis (GHC4,500.00).

This is to enhance productivity and guarantee that they are comfortable utilizing their iPads during meetings. Attached is a pro-forma invoice for your review. We count on your co-operation.

MYa Acheampong: Is the cost your issue or the beneficiaries. ?? In any case you think that BoD shouldn’t be made effective and efficient??

Or you among those who think BoD is just a normal thing and that you just come for sitting allowances?? The BoD deserves better and. Must become a serious issue to be considered if BoDs are to be more effective in their supervision

Emmanuel Joel Darrah: Bro, you should equally be quided with your words.. What do you mean by people who don’t have ‘Exposure’? .. Where exposure means what? Integrity is far beyond exposure.

Robert Kwame-Senyo Hude: And “madder” people will come and insult you for exposing this thievery with their borrowed mtn data.

Jude Mahama: They are appointing people without pedigree, credibility and competence into public boards. A certain Ghana Gas is another crime scene with very useless inflated projects .

The things some of us have seen in that Ghana Gas is mind blowing. I am reliably told that some of their big guys who are engaged in these corrupt acts are pushing money to some of our executives so that they will be shielded from prosecution when power changes hands. We are watching them with Eagle eyes. They will tracked down in 2025.

Shepherd Selasi: That keyboard, if you’re using it to type, it refreshes your kidney. Multipurpose keyboard

Emmanuel Joel Darrah: Bro, you should equally be quided with your words.. What do you mean by people who don’t have ‘Exposure’? .. Where exposure means what? Integrity is far beyond exposure.
