Real Housewife Star Shannon Beador Arrested After A Hit & Run Incident

Shannon Beador, a cast member of The Real Housewives, was reportedly detained this past weekend for drunk driving and a misdemeanour following a hit-and-run incident .
According to Newport Beach police, Beador, 59, was detained on the charges just after 1 a.m. P.T. on Sunday. She was soon afterwards released. A police department spokeswoman stated that the arrest report was not available and that they were unable to comment on the case’s details or whether any injuries had occurred.
Beador’s attorney, Michael Fell, said in a statement Monday: “I spent quite a bit of time with Shannon yesterday. She is extremely apologetic and remorseful. We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
A representative for Bravo could not immediately be reached for comment Monday. NBCUniversal, which is also the parent corporation of NBC News, owns Bravo. In California, a misdemeanor is punishable by up to six months in county jail and a $1,000 fine.
The incident brings to mind a previous episode of “Real Housewives of Orange County,” in which Beador and castmate Gina Kirschenheiter got into a fight over Beador’s assertion that she saved Kirschenheiter’s children from being taken into custody when Kirschenheiter was arrested for DUI in 2019. Beador denied making the assertion, but a flashback that was shown during the episode depicted the exchange in which she made it.
