Sarkodie Goes After Yvonne Nelson Again In New Song

Sarkodie recently claimed that he was not proud of the fiery diss song he aimed at the popular filmmaker and actress which monopolized the Ghanaian media landscape and beyond.

However, as heard in this new song dubbed Zingo, Sarkodie has backtracked by jabbing Yvonne Nelson once again, saying if the coal he heaped on her is burning her then she has to leave Ghana and seek refuge elsewhere.

Per the lyrics of the song, Sarkodie indirectly said if what she told Yvonne Nelson upsets her, she should leave the country immediately and cool off abroad. He also said he is a very important personality which is why people can’t stop about him, referencing his Try Me song that caused so much hubbub on social media.

Recall that as published by Tru News Report, Sarkodie admitted that he is not really proud of his recent diss song titled “Try Me” about actress Yvonne Nelson.”

Sarkodie was criticised for his response to the allegations made against him by Yvonne Nelson in her book “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.

In the book, which generated a lot of controversy in entertainment in Ghana, she detailed how she became pregnant with the rapper and stated that he requested that she abort the child because he was not ready. In response, Sarkodie released a diss track titled “Try Me,” in which he insulted and shamed the actress by comparing her to a street girl.

For the first time since the song’s release, the Ghanaian rapper finally spoke about it in an interview on the American show Way Up With Angela. According to him, he only recorded the song to express his emotions and had no intention of sharing it with the general public but when he discovered that it had been leaked, he went along with it.

“To be very honest, It is a sensitive conversation, and the reason why I didn’t do any media or press things around it is because I might lose how I will like to present what I will like to present, what I feel about it.”

“This is not the first time I have done songs to address certain issues, because there is certain eneygy I hate to feed into, especially speaking about because I might lose my cool. With this situation, I am not going to sit here and say I am super proud of everything. It is just in the moment how I felt, whether being my truth, there should have been a way you could have said it, and that is why I don’t like to speak about it,” he added.

Evidently, this new development will intensify the tension between and strike new bouts of discourse in the grapevine. Watch the video below as shared on Twitter by iTunesGad;
