Selena Gomez Finally Addresses Rivalry Rumours Between Her And Hailey Bieber

On Friday, Selena Gomez made an emotional appeal to her fans on social media, claiming that Hailey Bieber had “received death threats” and begging them to stop spreading “hateful comments” toward her.

As the internet mistakenly concluded that some postings by Selena Gomez and Hailey were about each other, the singer declared last month that she was taking a break from social media.

Because of their links to Justin Bieber, the two have been in each other’s circles for well over a decade. Hailey and Justin got married in 2019, while Selena and the singer had dated back in 2011. But that hasn’t stopped fans and outsiders from making trouble between the two, most recently by wondering if Hailey and her friends were putting Selena down on TikTok and vice versa.

In order to put an end to the rumours, the two have taken to Instagram. After Selena’s Instagram followers were asked to stop being mean to her, Hailey responded with a thank you of her own.

“Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity. This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.” Gomez wrote on Instagram

And here’s what Hailey had to say: “I want to thank Selena for speaking out, as her and I have been discussing in the last few weeks how to move past this ongoing narrative between her and I.

“The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful,” she wrote. “While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together.

“Things can always be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself.

“In the end, I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity, and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy and compassion.” the post read.
