Justin Bieber Contemplating Retirement Amid Health Issues And Music Catalogue Sale

According to reports, Justin Bieber is considering resigning from the music industry due to health concerns and selling his music catalogue for $200 million.

An unidentified source tells Radar Online that Bieber may not be returning to music altogether — a decision which may also be influenced by his recent move to sell his catalogue for $200 million. “Justin hasn’t felt right with the world for some time, and his stardom weighs heavily on him,” the insider said. “Even his therapist says if what he’s doing makes him unhappy, he should make the hard decision to set it aside.

Bieber disclosed in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological illness that resulted in the paralysis of one side of his face.

Bieber began the Justice World Tour in February 2022 and performed dozens of times prior to taking a pause in June owing to health concerns. A year later, the singer and his team cancelled the remainder of the European leg of the tour, as well as the June 2024 shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, citing his health as a priority.

Despite ending the tour early, it went on to gross over $250 million and became one of the highest-grossing concert tours of the decade. With that said, however, the source added, “Justin feels the pressure of the music biz isn’t good for him. He just wants to disappear with Hailey and enjoy his money.”

In 2018, Justin reconciled with Hailey, who is now his wife. The model and influencer has been a consistent source of support for Justin, assisting him through his mental health difficulties and staying by his side at every turn.

In an interview with Vogue, Hailey discussed the difficulties of supporting someone with mental health issues, stating, “It’s not easy to be with somebody who’s going through what Justin’s going through.” But she has also expressed her love and commitment to Justin, saying, “I wouldn’t want to be with anybody else.”

The sale of Justin Bieber’s music catalogue for $200 million would provide him with financial stability and permit him to concentrate on his health and personal life. Yet he would no longer have control over his music or how it is used in the future. While Bieber has not yet acknowledged or rejected these rumours, his next move is unknown.
