Shaniqwa began his acting career on KTN portraying Karis in the television series The Real House Helps of Kawangware in 2009. He played the cousin of Njugush, a well-known celebrity in Kenyan television performances. In the play, he is a drunken villager who travels to Kawangware to live with his cousin.

Later, he joined Jameni, a KTN television programme featuring comedic short films depicting current events. He played the role of Shaniqwa, which brought him renown for his bravery and the catchphrase ‘Ntakumurder’.

Shaniqwa began his career in television hosting with the daily morning programme Life and Style and the Friday show Feel Good Friday alongside television host Mwikali Mary. He subsequently left KTN and is currently pursuing new opportunities in his career.
