Shatta Wale is Ghana’s Biggest Artiste- Bankulli

Bankulli, a Nigerian music executive and promoter, has expressed his belief that Shatta Wale is the biggest artiste in Ghana.

According to him, while other mainstream artists like Sarkodie and Stonebwoy are thriving, Wale stands out as unparalleled in the industry. Bankulli shared these bold statements during a podcast interview with Raezy Winston on Echoo Room’s LinkUp.

During the interview, he commended the boss of the vociferous Shatta Movement hitmaker for his distinctive journey to fame and emphasized that it was time for him to elevate his music to new heights.

Furthermore, Bankulli acknowledged that Shatta Wale’s name may be bothersome to many Ghanaians, but he remains confident that he will achieve global stardom. He expressed his desire for Shatta Wale to engage in more international collaborations, which would enhance his worldwide recognition alongside his accomplishments.

This revelation has left many fans in disbelief, especially considering Bankulli’s close association with Sarkodie. The two were not only good friends but they also collaborated on a project together.

Sarkodie went as far as preparing Ghana jollof himself for the Nigerian music executive. It’s worth noting that Bankuli is not only an A&R and artiste manager and developer but also a talented vocalist and sound creator. His vocals can be heard on the track ‘Lift Off’ featuring Beyonce from the Watch The Throne album.

He received credit for his vocal contribution to this track, which was co-produced by Don Jazzy. Additionally, he was also credited for providing additional vocals on ‘Illest Mothadamna Alive’, another song from the same album.

Bankulli wrote;

“Reconnected back with My brotha @sarkodie One of Africa’s biggest Original Lyricist / Rapper … Obidipon bidi ???????????????? We are working on Something ????”.

Bankuli has gained recognition for his role in connecting African artists with international stars. One notable example is when he facilitated a meeting between Sarkodie and Shatta Wale during the excitement surrounding Beyonce’s song ‘Already’. After their meeting at Sarkodie’s residence, Bankuli took to social media to shower Sarkodie with praises.
