Shatta Wale Petitions IGP To Arrest Nigel Gaisie For John Kumah’s Prophecy

Shatta Wale expressed his dissatisfaction with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for not taking action against Nigel Gaisie regarding his doom prophecy about John Kumah.

During an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV, Shatta Wale, known for his campaign against doom prophecies, stated his determination to have pastors and prophets who instill fear in the public arrested.

Although the discussion primarily focused on Shatta Wale’s music career, the topic shifted to the trending news about John Kumah.

When Kafui Dey brought up the controversy surrounding John Kumah’s death and Nigel Gaisie’s prophecy, Shatta Wale expressed his deep disappointment and questioned why the IGP had not taken any action against Nigel.

“I told myself that when I come out of prison, I am going to make sure they stop all these pastors from delivering those nonsense false prophecies.

“Really? And they haven’t arrested him? No, they have to arrest him, Maybe IGP hasn’t noticed it yet,” Wale noted on March 15.

In the wake of John Kumah’s passing, a prominent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), a video surfaced online showcasing Nigel Gaisie’s prophetic prediction of his demise.

This prediction was made during the sacred December 31st Watchnight service, further solidifying Gaisie’s reputation as a powerful man of God. In the aforementioned video, Gaisie can be heard uttering the following words: .

The prophet said “I saw a Deputy Minister of Finance, if he can take care of himself, I see him at the highest height of government, but they want to attack him. If he can take care of himself, in the next years, God will help him, and I saw him at the seat of government, but they have ganged, they have sat down, they want to crash him, a deputy minister of finance,” Prophet Nigel Gaisie declared without mentioning a specific name.

However, bouts of drama soon ensued when Lilian, the wife of the deceased politician, spoke out against Gaisie in an interview on Asaase Radio.

She revealed that True Word Prophetic Ministry International was a close family friend and had intimate knowledge of her husband’s terminal illness, which Gaisie allegedly used to make his prophecy.

Lilian Kumah stated that upon learning of Gaisie’s actions, they immediately severed ties with him.

“Nigel Gaisie was like a brother. He knows my late husband, lawyer John Kumah, personally, one-on-one. We have sat in this house and eaten together several times. That is how far we go.

When he came from abroad to start a church in Ghana, he came to my church, Disciples of Christ Ministries and I did a programme with him dubbed “Let the Prophet Speak”.

“We know him very well and have been aware since November 2023 that the late John Kumah was seriously sick. My husband had a lot of respect for men of Ghana in this country and that included Nigel Gaisie when my husband and I thought he was a genuine man of God,” Apostle Lilian Kumah stated.

“Nigel Gaisie knew very well that my husband was terminally ill as far back as August 2023 but regardless of that, he stood on his altar on December 31, 2023 to lie through his supposed prophecy that a Ghanaian deputy minister will die in the year 2024. What does he want to achieve through these fake prophecies?” John Kumah’s widow questioned.

John Kumah died after a short illness on Thursday, March 7, 2024. He had been present in Parliament earlier the previous week and was scheduled to contribute to the budget debate on Thursday and Friday. However, he had visited his constituency, Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region, to celebrate the Independence anniversary.
