Shatta Wale Saved Me From Taking My Own Life-Fella Makafui Weighs In On The Sextape Controversy

Famous Ghanaian actress Fella Makafui has opened up about the horrific experience she had dealing with online harassment and trolling.

In the latest entertainment news in Ghana today, Fella Makafui claims that the stress of the sex tape controversy caused her mental health to deteriorate to the point where she considered ending her own life.

She recalled how she was on the edge of quitting because the suffering was too much. Mrs. Frimpong revealed everything during an interview with 3FM, recalling how the spotlight almost took her life.

People accusing her of being in a leaked pornographic video caused her to break down into depression, as she revealed in a recent interview with AJ Sarpong. She claims the constant criticism and insults took a mental toll on her and were just too much to bear. Fella Makafui stated that it was the counsel and encouragement of Shatta Wale that helped her recover from her miserable period.

“I broke down a couple of years ago and nearly took my life. There was this day I was having a meeting with my manager, and he just called me and was like, Precious, I need to tell you something and he was like, I know you can’t do something like this, but I want you to be honest with me and I was like, what up and he said oh your tape and I am like what ? my sex tape? Where? And then it escalated quickly, and I was like, I can’t take it anymore.

“Shatta Wale saved me from that controversy. He called me to clarify that it wasn’t me on the tape, and apparently, the girl had a tattoo on her back and I don’t. I would have considered ending my life if Shatta had not called me that night,” she said.
