Some Celebs Kept Their Distance From Me- Lord Paper Opens Up On Controversial Music Video

Lord Paper made a significant entrance into the Ghanaian music industry years ago with a controversial song and a provocative music video that caused quite a stir.

Looking back, the Ghanaian musician and songwriter admits that if given the chance, he would have approached things differently.

He acknowledges his naivety and youth at the time, confessing that he had no idea of the magnitude of what he was getting himself into.

In 2016, Paper released the song Ewurama which unfortunately gained him notoriety for all the wrong reasons.

The impact of the song led some Ghanaian celebrities to distance themselves from him, greatly affecting him as they were unwilling to collaborate with him.

In a recent interview with popular Disc Jockey (DJ) Andy Dosty on the program Showtym with Andy Dosty, he opened up about this issue for the first time.

Lord Papper revealed that he failed to capitalize on the attention the song brought him, admitting his lack of experience and his disbelief in the song’s potential success.

He also mentioned that he had no support team and was unaware of how to utilize the attention he received positively.

“I was very young, and we shared ideas, and it was one of those days… and I didn’t think it would go that far. I wasn’t ready for the industry.

I didn’t have a team, and people don’t like you when you are not on a team. I had no idea about the industry… if it were today, I would have turned it into something positive,” Lord Paper said.

“Initially, they didn’t understand it. But now, a lot of artistes are connecting with me. Before, I was sidelined, musicians were not even talking to me. I went to radio stations and some sacked me,” he concluded.
