The top nominees for the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards are Top Gun: Maverick, Stranger Things, and The Last of Us, all of which have six nominations each. The White Lotus and Wednesday came in second and third, each with four nominations.
In the unscripted categories, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Vanderpump Rules all have two nominations each.
Austin Butler, Bad Bunny, Beatrice Grann, Bella Ramsey, Cara Delevingne, Courteney Cox, Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Jamie Campbell Bower, Jennifer Coolidge, Joseph Quinn, Justin Long, Keke Palmer, Madison Bailey, Maya Hawke, Quinta Brunson, Riley Keough, Rudy Pankow, and Simona Tabasco are among the first-time nominees for the MTV Movie & TV Awards.
This year’s ceremony also has two new categories: best reality show onscreen team and best kickass cast. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Outer Banks, Stranger Things, and Teen Wolf: The Movie are all nominated for their ensemble groups.
Fans have until April 17 to vote for their favourite scripted and unscripted movies, TV shows, moments, and group members. The show will be broadcast live from the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles on May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It will be shown on MTV in more than 170 countries around the world.
Drew Barrymore will be the show’s host.The talk show host has been nominated for 10 MTV Movie & TV Awards and has won three Golden Popcorns, two in scripted categories and one in an unscripted category, over the course of her work.
