The Creative Industry Failed Him-Shatta Wale Reacts To Funny Face’s Accident

Shatta Wale has presented a fresh viewpoint on Funny Face’s accident, where he allegedly hit five people with his car while driving at excessive speed and under the influence of alcohol.

In a Facebook post, the dancehall artist highlighted that the comedian’s troubles extend beyond issues arising from his failed relationships. He emphasized that the deficiencies in the creative arts sector, and the lack of proper frameworks for fair compensation, contribute to Funny Face’s problems.

Wale expressed that the comedian’s predicament reflects deeper systemic challenges within the creative industries. He urged industry practitioners to recognize the dysfunction in the existing structures and cease pretending that everything is in order.

“The creative arts industry must break the cycle of self-punishment through depression and frustration. It’s time to speak up and seek help.

“What’s happening to Funny Face isn’t solely a marital issue; it’s indicative of deeper systemic challenges within our creative industries. Let’s acknowledge the dysfunction in our structures and stop pretending everything is fine. Speak up, it’s time for change!! Sorry my brother funny face ,May God see you through,” he wrote on Facebook.

Funny Face was involved in a car accident on Sunday, March 24 in Kasoa, Central Region. An eyewitness reported that his vehicle collided with a woman, two children, and a man on a motorbike.

Currently, Funny Face, his manager, and colleagues from the film industry are cooperating with authorities at the Kasoa Divisional Police Command for the investigation.
