Grammy Fiasco: Shatta Wale Warns His Fans To Stop Trolling Stonebwoy

Shatta Wale has taken everyone by surprise by urging his devoted fans to refrain from trolling Stonebwoy over his Grammy snub, or else he will block them all.

This unexpected move has left many fans astounded, considering the ongoing rivalry between Stonebwoy and Wale. Given that Wale has always been the one to provoke their feud, his plea to his fans to stop mocking Stonebwoy has come as a remarkable shock to them.

In a video initially shared by blogger Sweet Sonia, Charles Nii Armah Mensah delivered a stern warning to his fans, urging them to abstain from such behaviour as he does not endorse it.

According to Shatta Wale, this is not the appropriate time to derive pleasure from someone else’s misfortune when there is plenty of work to be done within their circle.

He referred to anyone engaging in such actions as a “fool” and made it clear that he would not hesitate to block such individuals from his social media accounts.

Background

Following the announcement of the full list of nominees for the 2024 Grammy Awards, Stonebwoy and his fans have been targeted by trolls who are eager to see the downfall of their music rivals.

These trolls have taken to social media to mock Stonebwoy for not being included in the list. They have been making derogatory comments about him, claiming that he was too arrogant and had expected to be nominated due to his inflated ego.

Tru News Report initially reported that the recently released full list of nominees for the Grammy Awards’ “Best African Music Performance” category did not include Sarkodie, Black Sherif, Stonebwoy, or Shatta Wale, Ghana’s mainstream artistes who had bangers in the year under review.

The category was established to acknowledge exceptional recordings that showcase distinct local styles from different African regions. However, the majority of the nominees are Nigerian artists, as anticipated.

The nominations featured four Nigerian artists and one South African in this newly established category.

The nominated artistes and songs include Asake & Olamide – “Amapiano” (Nigeria), Burna – “City Boys” (Nigeria), Davido ft. Musa key – “Unavailable” (Nigeria), Ayra Starr – “Rush” (Nigeria) and Tyla – “Water” (South Africa).
