The New Force Fiasco: We Spent Almost $250,000 On Planning The Convention 2024 – Cheddar

Nana Kwame Bediako and his New Africa Foundation are contemplating taking legal action to recover the $250,000 they invested in the planning, setup, and execution of Convention 2024, which was unexpectedly cancelled by the Nana Akufo Addo-led government at the last minute.

As a result, a publication shared by Ameyaw Debrah, which he obtained from the spokesperson of the New Africa Foundation, indicates that the matter will be brought to court to seek compensation.

The New Africa Foundation is the sponsor of this convention, which was originally scheduled to take place on January 7, 2024, at Kwame Nkrumah Independence Square, coinciding with Ghana’s inauguration day.

The event aimed to showcase various aspects of African excellence, featuring thought leaders and artistes and attracting a diverse audience representing all segments, communities, and groups within the country. It was meant to serve as a microcosmic representation of the continent, igniting the voices of Africa.

The primary objective was to instil hope in the youth, acknowledge the efforts of African leaders, and foster a collectively developed vision for the future of self-governance in Africa.

This event was to be a monumental and historic display of Africa’s ability to join forces and chart a course for a better future.

On the flip side, Afia Schwarzenegger has expressed her viewpoint regarding Ghanaian millionaire Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, and his New Force movement.

According to Afia, she believes that there is no distinction between Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM1, who is accused of fraudulent activities, and the actions of Cheddar.

In a video shared on her Instagram platform, Afia emphasized that, just like NAM1 devised an intricate scheme to deceive Ghanaians, Cheddar is replicating similar tactics within the political sphere.

Therefore, Afia urges Ghanaians to exercise caution and remain vigilant towards Cheddar’s endeavours.

She said, “Not all that glitters is gold, what NAM1 was doing was so fraudulent that it was only idiots that couldn’t see. You all fell for it and now how far did it go?

How much of your locked funds have been paid? How many press conferences have you done that he is still sitting on the money? You haven’t been paid yet you are allowing him to rebrand this boy to you that we need salvation.”

“If we need it, is it a person with fraudulent papers who will give us salvation? Why didn’t Freedom [Cheddar] use his actual name to hire Independence Square if he knew what he was coming to do was so genuine? Arise, Ghana youth.”
