The Untold Story Of How Yvonne Nelson Discovered Iyanya’s Affair with Tonto Dikeh
Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has opened up about the moment she discovered that her ex-boyfriend Iyanya, who’s a Nigerian singer, was having an affair with Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh.
Yvonne Nelson makes some intriguing allegations concerning her relationship with Iyanya. “I am not Yvonne Nelson”. The chapter 10, titled “Iyanya and My Love Life,” is where the actress discusses her relationship with the Nigerian singer in detail.
In a passage from her book that has been making the rounds online, she begins, “We had a decent relationship,” before detailing how she learned of his infidelity with Tonto Dikeh. Nelson stated that she believed the singer’s action of tattooing her initials “YN” on his waist and mentioning her in his popular song “Ur Waist” was a promise that they would be together forever.
She stated that she couldn’t believe the news when someone called her from Iyanya’s residence after she got back to Ghana. But she admitted that she would have broken up with him anyway, even if Tonto Dikeh hadn’t entered the picture, and that she didn’t see any use in trying to win back the man she had already lost.
“The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress came over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that there was something going on between them and thought I should know. The actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria, one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his ‘Ur Waist’ song. When I was convinced about the authenticity of the information I received, I was heartbroken. I took to Twitter to rant and vent. Tonto Dikeh responded on Twitter, saying people changed and so did feelings, so I should move on… I knew I eventually would have left even if Tonto Dikeh didn’t come into the picture,” the book partly reads.
As of the moment, Tonto Dikeh has not responded. Nelson is now touring Ghana to promote the release of her new book, which was launched.
