United States Facing Extreme Weather Conditions Ahead Of Christmas & New Year Holidays

It is supposed to be the most joyful time of the year, but not if you have to fly this holiday season, because catastrophic weather has rocked the United States, leading to the cancellation of thousands of flights.

Hurricane-force winds, blizzards, and a bomb cyclone have all hit parts of the nation, causing power disruptions in roughly 1.5 million homes.

The Midwest has been slammed hard by very cold weather, with some temperatures believed to be colder.

According to eyewitness reports from Kansas City, Missouri, Thursday 22nd December, the city is presently experiencing extreme freezing temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius.

Winter weather has prompted over two-thirds of the United States to issue a winter weather warning.

As a result, almost 3,000 flights were delayed or cancelled throughout the country on Friday morning alone.
