Veteran Sports Commentator Joe Lartey Dead

The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has announced the death of its patron, Mr. Joe Lartey Snr.

He reportedly died at the age of 96 on Friday, April 26, 2024.

In a statement released, SWAG held that Mr. Lartey, the first president of SWAG, was instrumental in shaping Ghana’s sports landscape with his remarkable commentary.

SWAG took to social media on Saturday, April 27, 2024, to confirm the heartbreaking news and offer condolences to Mr Lartey’s family, friends, and colleagues.
