The man of God has been recognized as a pastor, Robert Jr., who holds the esteemed position of senior prophet at Grace Confirmation Church Worldwide, situated in Enugu, Nigeria.
He shared the video on his Facebook page and attached the following message:
“PROPHECY NO #17 on the wheel of fulfillment…
“Prophecy given on DECEMBER 31st Cross over night 2023.
“There is a SEER in this land and the lord shall help His people. “Grace Confirmation Church Worldwide.”
“Nollywood legends are gone. Zack Orji gone. Amechi Muonagor gone. Mr Ibu gone… We need to pray for these people. What I saw in that vision, look at how they would go…”
Meanwhile, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas Ejezie has confirmed that Mr Ibu had passed away due to a cardiac arrest on Saturday.
“I announce with deep sense of grief that Ibu didn’t make it. Mr Ibu suffered a cardiac arrest according to his manager of 24 years, May his soul rest in peace,” Rollas said on his Instagram page.
Ejezie said the loss of Ibu leaves a profound sadness in the hearts of fans worldwide.
He said Ibu with his remarkable talent and unparalleled comedic timing, reshaped the landscape of Nigerian movies, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
“Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Ibu brought immeasurable joy to countless souls through his memorable performances. His infectious laughter and boundless energy transcended screens, bringing smiles to faces in every household across Nigeria and beyond,” he said.
The actor had been grappling with health problems since October 2023 and had undergone several surgeries that ultimately resulted in the amputation of his leg. Nevertheless, reports from his family in November suggested that he was making progress in his recovery.
