In related news, Afua Asantewaa, following her remarkable attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, has reportedly been admitted to the hospital.

As anticipated by many, the gruelling five-day endeavour without sleep, bathing, and proper nourishment took a significant toll on Afua’s well-being.

Her audacious journey to surpass the previous record of 105 hours in the longest singing marathon has left her in a compromised state. Afua decided to halt her world record attempt after an impressive 126 hours and 52 minutes, citing health concerns.

In a recent update shared by Graphic Online, Afua revealed that her hospitalization aims to restore her sleep cycle, which was severely disrupted during the sing-a-thon. Originally scheduled from December 24 to 27, 2023, Asantewaa’s Sing-a-thon was extended to accommodate potential time deductions by Guinness World Record judges for breaks.
