Wayoosi Cautions Youth To Stay Away From Alcohol After His Near-Death Experience

Actor Wayoosi, whose real name is Joseph Osei, has urged young people to abstain from alcohol following his near-death experience due to alcohol abuse.

The actor admitted to being so heavily addicted to alcohol that he couldn’t go a single day without consuming copious amounts of it.

Wayoosi revealed that he was once a master at drinking alcohol and would even hide alcoholic beverages by the roadside to indulge with his friends or colleagues. However, his excessive consumption eventually led to kidney disease, which nearly claimed his life.

In an interview with AMBASSADOR TV, Wayoosi expressed his belief that God granted him a second chance at life so that he could adopt a healthier lifestyle.

“Ambassador, I did more than Ghanaians can imagine because I was addicted to alcohol. Even if I was keeping fit with my friends or colleagues actors, I used to hide alcoholic drinks by the roadside” Wayoosi explained

A day before keep fit, I will visit the road and hide my alcoholic beverages so when I get there I will just pick up and consume them like nobody’s business

After taking the beverages, I could run like a horse and feel like I’m on a different planet but not knowing I was killing myself slowly”, he lamented.

His wife Evelyn Owusu, also known as Adepa Ella also shared her perspective on Wayoosi’s death rumours and how it significantly impacted their relationship on the same platform days earlier.

Adepa revealed that when Wayoosi was battling kidney ailments and seemed to have reached a point of no return, she almost lost hope.

Adepa expressed her deep sadness over the hardships Wayoosi endured, emphasizing that it is unjust to wish someone dead when they are still alive and in good health.
