We Will Explore All Legal Options to Retrieve Our Mandate- Peter Obi Insists He Won Election, Not Tinubu

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has claimed he is the outright winner of the 2023 presidential election and not Bola Tinubu as announced by INEC.

Obi stated this during the first media briefing since the presidential elections on Saturday, adding that he was robbed of his mandate, which he can only reclaim in court.

The election, according to the former Anambra state governor, did not meet the necessary standards and could not be considered credible.

The LP candidate, who is currently speaking at a world press conference in Abuja, claims that Nigerians were robbed of their true choice. He insisted on seeking justice in court and was willing to challenge the outcome until he could prove his case.

Obi stated that he had successfully challenged several election results and that he would go to court confident that justice would be served.

He said; “We’ll explore all legal options to retrieve our mandate. We won the election. I’m fully committed to a better future for the country and nothing can stop that. For the election on Saturday go out there and vote. I’ll be part of it, I assure you.

“Labour Party won the election and I will prove it. I will challenge this rascality for the future of the country. On this issue (presidential election) I am challenging the process. The court exists for this and they have asked me to go to court and I will be going to court,” the former governor added.

Quipped on if he is under pressure, he said no one can put him under pressure for challenging the rascality.

“We have to go through this darkness. The structure of criminality can’t go out overnight. All we need to show is commitment and resilience. I will be at the forefront and will work through this darkness until daybreak,” Obi vowed.
