We’ve Done A Lot, Show Appreciation In 2024 Elections – Hawa Koomson To Ghanaians

The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Mavis Hawa Koomson, claims that the achievements and performance of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) are unbeatable.

The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East claimed that the NPP has accomplished more and done a better job than any other government in the Fourth Republic. According to her, the Russian-Ukrainian war and the COVID-19 outbreak both contributed to the economy’s decline, contrary to the minority’s divergent assessment of the situation.

The minister said that Ghanaians should be grateful for the government’s efforts because it has remained dedicated to resolving the country’s problems. She said this during a community event with locals from the Akwele neighborhood in the constituency.

“I’m not here to brag, but we’ve actually done a lot of things. You have no idea what we have done if you examine our records and compare them to others. We’ve accomplished a lot… The salt does not sing its own praises, but we have worked. When we say that the Russian-Ukrainian war affected our economy, some deny it, but they admit that the world is in crisis. Economic challenges are a global issue that is not limited to Ghana.”

According to her statement, Ghana has managed to avoid fuel shortages despite all of the challenges encountered.

“You are aware that Nigeria is an oil-producing country, but it has faced difficulties and scarcity. They were waiting in queue to buy petrol. Have we ever waited in a queue to buy fuel as Ghanaians?, That has never happened to us before. We experienced dumsor before 2016, which was caused by a lack of funds to fuel our machines. However, when the NPP arrived, the dumsor was resolved.”
