What Do You Want That We Haven’t Done? – Togbe Afede Questions Demonstrating Hearts Of Oak Fans

Togbe Afede, Chairman of the Executive Board for Hearts of Oak, has expressed frustration at a faction of the club’s supporters who staged a demonstration against the board earlier this week.

Togbe Afede voiced out his surprise at the protests, questioning the motives behind them given the significant infrastructural developments implemented under his leadership.

Addressing reporters following a tour of the club’s Phobia House on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Togbe said he had taken notice of the protest but questioned the actual motive behind it.

“Yes, I heard that some people were going on demonstrations yesterday, and I asked myself, ‘what do they want? What do they want?’

“What do they want that we haven’t done? We’ve done everything. After all this, the only thing that Hearts doesn’t have is a stadium.

“We are streets ahead of all our counterparts. I would even say that we will come out as one of the very best in the whole of the subregion,” he emphasized.

While Togbe Afede’s tenure has seen considerable off-field progress, including over a decade of service, the club’s on-field performance has not matched expectations.

Despite these achievements, Hearts of Oak have secured just one league title and two FA Cups under Afede’s leadership.

Some agitated fans of the country’s oldest club had embarked on a protest demanding the removal of Togbe Afede and his entire board citing the club’s poor performance.
